When I tried to run the scan - it said I must be an administrator in order to run a console session. He sent a follow up e-mail at my abrupt disconnect and said he was only running a very common program SFC SCAN, to determine if there was any corrupted files and said if I was uncomfortable with his doing so - I could run the scan myself. I have remote assistance DISABLED, and yet somehow - he accessed it. However, a few minutes later - the technician activated CMD Prompt/BIOS and did not tell me he was going to do this -and more importantly, did NOT ask for permission to access my computer. The person accessed Trend Micro to run some scans - I didn't find a problem with that, since the software was open, and active in chat.
